Work Permits (VIsa´s) and Paperwork
Malta is in the EU but they are allowed to ask EU citizens to obtain Work Visa´s. This was part of the deal for Malta losing it´s sovereignty to join the EU block. They in turn had to agree to increase their Strategic Oil Reserve. A vital interest to the every day life of the Maltese people and nothing to do with money. Although the EU may have looked at how many cars are on the road (the highest per capita in Europe) and may actually be doing them a favour. There are a lot of cars on the road for such a small place. Also many Jeep/Land Rover types and lots of posh cars. Essential for a basically flat Island with the worst windiest roads in Europe.
Do not worry though as it is very very difficult to be turned down for a Visa in the Igaming sector (at the moment).
If you are not Maltese you will need to get a Work Visa after you have got the job. You will need to get other forms of documentation including Residents Card etc. Your Employer will inform you of these.
If you get a job in the Igaming industry you will need to also have a Police check done to obtain your "Good Conduct Certificate". Don´t worry as this is only a local one. If you have not been caught doing anything illegal since your stay in Malta then you will be OK. Does not matter what you have done abroad unless the Maltese Gaming Authority find out.
